John Okogbaa

Dr. John Okogbaa serves as an Associate Professor at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy, where he has dedicated himself to educating future pharmacists since 2008. He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Creighton University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Xavier University, equipping him with a solid foundation for his role in pharmacy education and clinical practice.

In his capacity as Director of the Professional Experience Program, Dr. Okogbaa ensures the rigorous experiential training of pharmacy students, aligning with accreditation standards and cultivating partnerships with over 150 affiliated institutions. His leadership in the Post Graduate Year-1 Pharmacy Residency Program has been instrumental in maintaining its accreditation and guiding residents toward various career paths in academia, hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Okogbaa’s commitment extends beyond academia; he actively engages in research and community service, making him a valuable asset to both the academic and clinical realms.
